The residence 'Les Sanguinaires' is located 6 km west of downtown Ajaccio, on the coastal road to the well-known Sanguinaire Islands. The 'Route des Iles Sanguinaires' overlooking the shimmering Gulf of Ajaccio runs for about 15 km. It begins in Ajaccio itself, lined with palm trees, right along the beach of Saint-Francois next to the citadel. Following on you discover numerous small bays with fine white sand, where you can just relax and jump in the sea.

The apartment complex was inaugurated in June 2004. All apartments have a terrace with a great view of the Gulf of Ajaccio. They are accessible via a lift, air-conditioning, satellite television and DVD player, direct line telephone and a safe. The choices of apartments are between the T2 and T3 category.

The Apartment T2 is 43 square meters large and can sleep up to 4 people. In addition it has a 16 square meters large, furnished porch. The plan is divided into a lounge, a bedroom, a kitchen, a bathroom and a separate toilet. The kitchen is equipped with a dishwasher, microwave, refrigerator, freezer, electric stove, extractor hood, oven, water heater, and coffee machine, plenty of storage space and a complete kitchen and tableware sets. The bathroom has a bathtub, a towel heater and a hairdryer. In the living room there is a sofa, a coffee table, a TV, and a dining table with four chairs. A large glass sliding door provides plenty of light in the apartment and provides convenient access to the terrace with a sea view, a table, four chairs and a deck chair. In the bedroom there are a 1.60 mt wide bed with night tables, a radio alarm clock and a desk. A large cabinet with mirror-sliding doors provides ample space for your wardrobe. Another small terrace with a deck chair complements the T2 opportunities to enjoy the sun and sea breeze.

The T3 apartments are 60 square meters of living space and 30 square meters loggia (balcony) for up to 6 people. The interior furnishings for the kitchen and bathroom is as complete as in the T2, in the dining room; however, there is a table with 6 chairs. In addition to a bedroom with a small terrace is another room with two single beds 90 cm wide. Another small terrace of 12 square meters with two other lounge chairs is connected with the main terrace of the apartment. Here a large table with 6 chairs invites to a leisurely meal.

In front of the entrance to the residence is the 200 sq mt heated swimming pool with spa, with its unique view of the Gulf of Ajaccio and a system of solar panels. Numerous oleander bushes around the resort make it an oasis of beauty and tranquility, where you can relax and feel comfortable. You should visit the fitness room of the residence and then allow yourself sweating in a Hamm am, or relax in the Jacuzzi. All these amenities are part of the services of the Residence Les Sanguinaires. If you'd like to have a masseur or a physiotherapy service just ask at the reception (extra fee required).

The 120 sq mt conference room with 60 seats is also available and it offers very extensive and professional equipment all year round: paperboards, overhead projector, slide projector, screen, TV, VCR, telephone, Internet access and microphones.

In the Residence Les Sanguinaires, you can choose between a stay with breakfast or in half-board. The restaurant Le Saint Jean, with its air-conditioned room and terrace beside the pool offers a delicious Mediterranean cuisine. Only 40 meters away is a white sand beach overlooking the pretty Sanguinaires Islands. The origin of the name Sanguinaires probably derives from the often purple sunsets, when the rocks of the island group gleam in the azure sea.

Ajaccio has neither the Italian character of Bastia, nor the peculiarities of Bonifacio. Its appearance has even lost the primitive austerity, but it has remained very particular with its barouches beneath the plane trees. Carriages under the shade of large white parasols, the tinkle of bells, awaiting their customers. Today's Ajaccio dates back to a citadel from 1492. In the early days only Ligurian and Genoese nobility resided here. First in 1553 the French opened the city to the Corsicans and built it as a fortress. Just some years later, Ajaccio was reigned by Genoa, welcomed by the residents. This attitude determined the politics of the city during the following centuries, and thus Ajaccio, just like Calvi was not taken in the Corsican liberation wars under Pasquale Paoli.
