One of the attraction of the region around Aléria is the big lagoon of Etang De Diana and the oyster culture carried out there for 2500 years. Directly on the bank of the Etang is the 4 hectare property of the villa Cacauccio.

The gate leads to a charming country house, surrounded by a garden with palm trees, eucalyptus trees and Mediterranean vegetation. This small apartment, decorated in ochre tones, is for up to 4 persons and thanks to the swimming pool invites to a restful stay. The lounge in the living room area disposes of a folding sofa and a television corner. In the kitchen area there's a stove with ceramic plates, a refrigerator and a microwave. In the rear of the lounge is the access to the bathroom and bedroom. The bathroom has a shower and toilet; the bedroom has a double bed. The apartment is equipped with air conditioning and electric heaters.

Apartment 2 - 47 square meters for 2 to 4 people
This comfortable apartment is in a stylish décor in orange, red and white tones. It disposes of a separate bedroom, a living room, a kitchen and a bathroom. In the lounge there is a pullout sofa, a television and a dining table with chairs. The kitchen has a refrigerator, a microwave, a small oven, a filter coffee machine and a washing machine. In the separate bedroom, you will find a double bed and chests of drawers for your clothes. The bathroom has shower and toilet. The apartment is equipped with an air conditioning and electric heaters.

230 sq m apartment for 6 people
In the centre of the villa is a spacious apartment with a large salon, a winter garden, a kitchen and 3 separate bedrooms, each with its own bathroom. The large living room is rustic and has a beautiful fireplace. Right next to that is the attractive pool table. Furthermore in the lounge there is a dining area for 6 people and a TV with two sofas. The kitchen offers a very rich equipment with big freezer / fridge, gas stove with 5 plates, an oven, a microwave, exhauster hood and dishwasher. Moreover an oval table with chairs is ready for a cosy breakfast. From the salon you can access a winter garden with eating table and seats for up to 8 people. The porch can be opened during warm days thanks to a large sliding glass door into a large terrace overlooking the Lagoon and garden. To the right there is a staircase entrance to the summer kitchen with barbecue and wood-fire oven. The sleeping area is on two floors and houses a total of three separate rooms. Each bedroom has its own private bathroom. The two rooms on the ground floor are respectively a double bedroom and a single bedroom. In the double room there's a small fireplace that offers a romantic atmosphere. The bedroom in the lower floor is decorated in the style of a boat cabin and has two single beds. Here the young guests can feel quickly at home.Also in the basement you find a washing machine and a tumble dryer. All rooms are air-conditioned. A central heating is also available for the cooler season.

The villa Cacauccio is ideal for small and big families, and groups of up to 16 persons, who would like to spend an uncomplicated vacation in an optimal position.

Aléria is a place with an absorbing history. The original name, Alalia appears first in the 5th Century BC. in a text from Hérodot, because it was founded about 600 years BC by the Greeks from Asia Minor. Alalia then as Greek merchant city was conquered by the Romans in the year 259 BC and destroyed considerably. On the ruins of the old city,the Romans then built the ancient Aléria and made it the capital of the island of Corsica for many centuries. Archaeological finds show that the place was inhabited even before the Greeks, that is already in prehistoric times, and later experienced the times of the Carthaginians, Etruscans and Arabs.

A main attraction of Aléria is the excavations of the ancient Roman city, which had about 25,000 residents as well as a merchant and naval port. Many unique finds from Etruscan, Greek , Punic and pre-romanesque eras can now be seen in the Museum Jerome Carcopino.

From Aléria you can easily discover the beautiful and unique Costa Serena. For connoisseurs of Corsican specialties, Corsican wines and whiskies is the visit at the Domaine de Mavela "near Aléria a must! For many years, the "whisky Corse" is distilled here and offered along with delicacies from all regions of Corsica. During your visit to the estate, you can even watch the whisky production process. At no other place can you find such a full selection and tasting as in the "Cave de la Domaine de Mavela": Before buying try Corsican wines, whiskies, liqueurs, aquavit, sausages and cheeses from all regions of Corsica. Gourmets will find first-class olive oil, chestnut flour, honey and jams and seafood from the Etang de Diana "(especially oysters),which can be tasted in the sales room with a good " verre du blanc " from Patrimonio. The selection of Corsican DOC - wines is remarkable.
