The Hotel Castel Brando is a very special and well-maintained 3 star accommodation in the east coast of Corsica.

It is found at the south end of "Cap Corse" and only approximately nine kilometres from the lively small town of Bastia. It lies in the heart of the former fishing village of "Erbalunga". The stylish hotel consists of a renovated manor house ('Palazzu' in Corsican) and three new built annexes. Around the whole house you can feel the esprit of the Pieri family. All pieces of furniture and equipment of the hotel were selected with a lot of love for detail. Chests of drawers, little cupboards and chairs come from the 19th century and are skilfully combined with well-chosen materials and colours.

All rooms are fitted out with modern technology like air-conditioner, telephone, ADSL and Wireless connections, satellite television, safe and refrigerator. The bathrooms dispose of WC, hairdryer and partly with bathtub. There are several room categories: standard double room, comfort double room with own terrace, suite with separate living-room, as well as a double room supérieure with own balcony and view to the small orange grove and the massif of "Monte Stello".

The breakfast is served outside in the courtyard under the high palm trees or in the conservatory of the manor house. In the green area of the property lies a heated pool with sun terrace, beach chairs, Jacuzzi and steam bathtub. In the main building there are a computer workplace with Internet access as well as the small library, tastefully furnished with antiques of the "Castel Brando". For connoisseurs the landlord Jean Paul offers a choice of selected cigars. Besides, a small shop with Corsican specialities is also available (opened in 2005).

In the hotel bicycles and bicycle racks as well as Kayaks can be hired. Moreover a cross-country run trail goes past near the hotel and 200 mt from tennis court. The hotel guests can use it free of charge.

For its atmosphere and its style the hotel of the Pieri family was awarded repeatedly: in 2003 it got the title "Hôtels et Auberges de Charme en France" and in 2004 the Silver medal from the Ministry of French tourism.

One day should be allowed for the round trip around the northern tip of Corsica. The wine region Patrimonio and the charming Saint Florent are also worth a visit. Bastia, with its museums, shops, boulevards, boat haven and old town offers equally as many opportunities for sightseeing and shopping. Those who long for infinitely long sandy beaches, should take a trip to the Lido de la Marana south of Bastia , where the beauty of the large lagoon overgrown with reeds competes with the thrill of the open beach and the sound of the sea.

It's only 50 mt away from the sea. This Hotel lies in the midst of a garden and in the heart of the picturesque village of Erbalunga with its old fishing harbour. Bastia is approximately 9 km to the north. Furthermore it's the best starting point for excursions in the region of Cap Corse.
